One of the key factors in getting those memorable shots is about you feeling totally comfortable. The more at ease you are in your environment the more relaxed you'll feel really showing off the best of yourself in front of the camera! 

When selecting your photography package you'll be given the choice

of shooting locations. I can either travel to your regular Gym, home or location of your choice (indoor or outdoor), or you can choose to use one of the high quality gyms or stunning locations that I regularly carry out photoshoots at around Devon and Somerset.

Whether booking a photography session, or simply making an inquiry, you'll be able to have a direct consultation with me (either virtually or over the phone) where we'll cover;

 

  • Your training history, exercise preferences, strengths, and areas you'd really like to highlight 

  • Your motivations, reasons for considering a photoshoot

  • What to expect and how to prepare for a photoshoot

  • What you'd like to achieve and what you ideal results would look like

  • The types of shots you would like (if you have any initial ideas or inspiration)

  • Any and all other questions you may have

Ongoing Support

The best way to get a fantastic end result is through planning and preparation.

 

Following the consultation I will then be available every step of the way to answer follow up questions and brainstorm photography ideas. You'll have the option of sending over examples to highlight the type of photos and effects you're looking for, so why not so get inspired by checking out some of the amazing fitness photography online! The clearer the idea I have of your expectations the better the end results will be.  

I am here to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible while getting the outcome you visualized.

The Photoshoot

This will be your time to show off all your hard work! We can either base our shoot around what you have pictured, or I can direct you through a series of setups and guide you through various poses that will capture the very best of you.

 

The process will involve flash lights set up at various angles to shine on different areas of the body. This will highlight muscle definition and create striking images.

You will also have the opportunity to create amazing pictures using cloured gels and haze based smoke effects during the 2 - 3 hour photography session.

How to Prepare for a photoshoot

Pack as many outfits as you like. Variety is key, so pick different styles and colours that accentuate various aspects of your character and physique. Plain bright and dark colours work best for striking images.  * 

It can be cold in gyms so ensure you have something warm to wrap up in between shooting sections.

A little practice can help massively. If you're new to modelling, why not use the time between your booking and the shoot to practice posing and finding out what works for you. Use magazines or online pictures for inspiration

We'll have fun with it on the day so don't be afraid to experiment, get creative and let loose! Portrait photography is as much about capturing feelings as it is about great images, so express yourself and let out the real you.

Avoid over training in the days running up to the photoshoot. You'll be able to get a short pump on prior to the shoot, which will be all you need. 

Stay well hydrated beforehand and during the shoot, while getting plenty of rest and relaxation in the day prior.  It's a good idea to also bring light sugary snacks for energy over the course of the session.

Bring a Towel. You'll have the option of creating greater muscle definition with the light through applying baby oil to the skin.

Women: Leggings, shorts, sports bras, crop tops, bikinis, hot pants, sports underwear, swimsuits, Trainers, Heels

Men: Vest tops, shirtless, muscle fit tops, tight track bottoms, 3/4 shorts, sports underwear, short shorts, trainers

Your Pictures

Within 48 hours of the shoot your raw, unedited photos will be available to view on your personal private portal. Just let me know your favorites and I'll begin the editing process. 

You will then receive your edited images in high resolution print ready and web ready formats.
